At the heart of mountain biking is the desire for adventure and new experiences. This passion drives everything we do, so designing the brand-new Ridgeline aluminum handlebar was a dream come true! Our goal was to create the perfect handlebar that “disappears” beneath you, encouraging you to chase adventure. The 15 mm and 25 mm rise options allow for a more efficient and aggressive position on the bike, and to maximize this, we took an oversized 35 mm tube and spread the load over a length of 800 mm. It was essential for us to keep the weight low without sacrificing strength.
This is where our exclusive proprietary Gradient Butting technology shines and gives DEITY the edge: this technology allows us to remove excess material in areas of lower stress and fatigue, which can cause the stiffness commonly felt with other 35 mm handlebars on the market. We can then add this material to areas of higher stress and fatigue to increase the long-term durability of the bars.
