The FD 282SF brings together the Formax FD 282 Double Head Edge Tabbing System and the FD 282-05 Medium Duty Synchronized Feeder. The advanced design of the FD 282SF means tabs are applied to both the top and side, or on opposite sides of a mailpiece simultaneously. The combination of one fixed and one repositionable tabbing head is the reason the FD 282SF provides such superior performance and productivity. While the fixed head applied tabs to the open edge, the repositionable head can switch from applying tabs to the front edge to the side, it can also be used to apply up to 3 USPS roll stamps in just one pass. The FD282SF Tabber also includes the FD282-05 Synchronized Feeder which is designed to link with the tabber for better speed and control. The FD 282-05 feeder accepts various media types including envelopes, small booklets, card stock, and open ended z-fold flyers. The FD282SF can run up to 25,000 pieces per hour (single tab). Various tab stocks can be used, including paper, clear and translucent in sizes from 3/4" to 1 1/2". The easy to use FD282SF has a central control panel with a digital LCD display, resettable and lifetime counter, and a memory that stores up to 4 programmable jobs.
