"Crossing," 2023

Depicting a peaceful railroad stop along the Delaware River in Phillipsburg NJ, this original oil pastel painting shows the light filtering through trees overhead creating a delicate and unique tapestry of patterns on this infrastructure that is slowly being reclaimed by the nature that surrounds it. Two figures can be seen in the distance, possibly waiting for a train or maybe just out on a stroll.

Painted on a 30x30" handmade cradled wood panel created by the artist, the sides of the panel are 2.5" deep, with a natural pine finish to accentuate the nature within the subject of the work. This large piece would make a strong focal point in any environment.
