A great inexpensive way to improve traction/launches and lessen engine movement in your 2000-2005 Dodge Neon / 03-05 Dodge SRT-4 and 2001-2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser is with these Prothane engine inserts.

These inserts fill the voids in your engine mounts and minimize the engine movement. This helps improve acceleration and prevents the engine from slamming back and forth in the engine bay due to the stock soft mounts.

These inserts are available in two types. Street type, which are softer, and Race inserts which are more firm. Street inserts are designed to prolong the life of your engine mounts and add little to no vibration. Race inserts are designed for better traction, and reduced wheel hop, but do add vibration. The vibration is mostly noticed at idle, and when your clutch is engaging. The vibration is not that bad once the car is rolling and in gear with the race inserts.

The Prothane engine mount kit includes two inserts, one for upper engine mount, and one for lower engine mount on the passenger side.

Note: These inserts are intended to be used with engine mounts that are in good condition. These will not work as designed if you install these into worn out, cracked, or damaged motor mounts.
