This 1920s vintage afternoon dress is adorable! The silhouette is that of a shift, with a bit of shaping discreetly placed darts plus the half belt in back. There is also a curving horizontal seam just below the bottom rhinestone that adds two soft pleats below it. The small collar is "Bermuda" style on one point, and extends into a short scarf at the other - looks like a good place for a small brooch to anchor. Nicely made, with lots of french seams.

FABRIC/COLORS: A charming print of tiny black - or dark brown - shamrocks against a cream background. The fabric is a light weight crepe, not quite sheer enough to be chiffon. Fiber burn test suggests rayon, possible a cotton/rayon blend.
TAGS: No tags. With so many hand sewn details, this may have been custom sewn.
CLOSURES: The 35 tiny rhinestone buttons - 7 groups of 5 - down the front are decorative, not functional. The dress closes with seven small snaps - one at the center neckline, and the others at the edge of the placket.
CONDITION: Excellent. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
