Description:
Judy Roderick, a female folk-blues singer who was active in the Greenwich Village folk boom of the early to mid-1960s and left behind two solo albums (the title track of the second, "Woman Blue," is an anthem of the counterculture generation), released her only album (recorded at the LA Record Plant) with a swamp rock band formed in Colorado at the end of the '60s. This is the only album (recorded at the LA Record Plant) by the swamp rock band that Judy Roderick formed in Colorado in the late 60's. The album is based on blues, with a touch of soul and pop. The blues-based production by Bill Simuzik (BB King, Eagles) with a spice of soul and pop is also familiar to Janis Joplin's recordings in her later years. (C)RS
