Specially formulated to prevent mildew (and potentially mold) from growing on the primed surface before paint is applied, KILZ Mold and Mildew Primer contains active ingredients that are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency. This mold and mildew resistant film protects the primer film, sanitizes the surface it is applied to against fungi organisms and helps ensure a fungi-free primed surface for painting. KILZ Mold and Mildew Primer blocks stains such as markers, lipstick, food stains, smoke, nicotine, grease and more. This primer has a thicker consistency compared to most non high build primers which helps achieve a more uniform finish. The primer also helps paint bond to multiple surfaces and ensure years of topcoat integrity. Use over and under alkyd, oil and water based paints, this primer dries quickly, has a low odor and is environmentally conscious with little to no volatile organic compounds.
