Fields of the Nephilim's masterpiece, a unique album in the 80's Goth and Black Metal scene, will be remastered and reissued to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its release! Fields of the Nephilim, a leading British goth rock and black metal band of the 80's led by Carl McCoy, formed in 1984, has decided to reissue their masterpiece 3rd album on vinyl to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release! After debuting as followers of the Sisters of Mercy, their second album "The Nephilim" established a unique musical style incorporating western punk beats and became their breakthrough, reaching #14 on the UK charts. The following album, released in 1990, was later followed by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, "Submission," one of the hardest rock numbers in the band's history, with its wah-wah guitar and dubby bass line, and the spaced-out "Sad Core," a spaced-out rock number with a dubby bass line, were all released in 1990. Submission," one of the hardest rock numbers in the band's history, and "Sumerland," a big and classic spaced-out dance-rock number.Produced by Andy Jackson, an engineer renowned for his work with Pink Floyd, the album is one of the most introductory, experimental, and beautiful masterpieces in the band's discography. For this reissue, the original source material has been converted to 96khz/24 bit by John Dent of LOUD Mastering, remastered by Abbey Road master Jeff Pesquet, and reissued on 180g weight dark green vinyl in a limited quantity. This will be a limited edition 180g weight dark green vinyl reissue.
