The title piece, "Tianjie Scattering Flowers," was commissioned by the Tokyo Sinfonietta in 2012. It is a guitar concerto inspired by the Chinese opera "Peking Opera," and is dedicated to Nishimura's mourning and gratitude to his own mother, who passed away during
