A beautifully carved 19th Century Black Forest bear enclosing a glass inkwell insert. The bear holds out his paws to provide a pen rest.  This antique bear inkwell is in lovely original condition, the carving is very good quality, with a good rich colour and patina. This is an excellent example of the skilled craftsmen working in the Black Forest in the late 19th Century, a delightful antique inkwell to add charm to any desk.
