Description:
A piece of British underground psychedelia that probably ranks among the finest."-RICHARD FALK ("Galactic Ramble"). CRYSTALLINE's "Axe Music," which received the maximum rarity rating of six stars in Hans Pokora's "5001 Record Collector Dreams. CRYSTALLINE was a Northampton, England-based psychedelic band from the late 60s to the early 70s, featuring guitarist Tony Burford and singer Vivienne Jones. The band was well known in the local scene, having played in front of bands such as Free, Wishbone Ash, and The Who. This is the only sound source they left behind. The original 10" acetate was only made in a limited edition of 12, making it a rare and almost phantom collector's item.In 2012, Guerssen reissued the album for the first time as a vinyl and CD set, with the original source material intact; this is the first time the CD has been reissued on its own, and the sound quality has been further improved from the 2012 version. The heavily distorted guitar tones and somehow exotic melodies, the solid bass and tight drumming, and Vivian's crystal clear voice like a classical vocalist. The miraculous combination creates a timeless, one-of-a-kind acid feeling & peachy mood. m(3) "A House Is Not A Motel" Love's cover.
