The TuffyPacks 11" x 14" insert is a flexible, soft ballistic panel rated to Level IIIA. It stops multiple rounds of handgun fire. At 19 ounces, it adds less weight than a standard hardcover textbook. The panel measures approximately 1/2 inch thick — roughly the profile of a stack of papers — and slides flat against the back of the main compartment without disrupting the pack's usable volume.

The panel is covered in UV-resistant nylon and carries a 5-year warranty. It contains no metal components, making it fully TSA-approved for air travel. Lab testing to Level IIIA standards has been independently conducted.

Removability and conversion

The insert removes completely from the main compartment for storage or cleaning. To clean, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Will this panel stop rifle rounds?

Is the panel removable?
