The latest recording by three of the greatest cellists of our time, Yo-Yo Ma, the prodigy Leonidas Kavakos, and the virtuoso Emmanuel Ax, who captivated audiences during his long-awaited tour of Japan in the fall of 2021, is now complete! In December 2016, this trio recorded the complete "Brahms: Piano Trio" and it was a big hit. Five years have passed since then, and the three have come together again to deliver an ambitious new recording of Beethoven's "Symphonies". The recording took place in August 2021 at Tanglewood's Sage Ozawa Hall. Yo-Yo Ma's second recording of the complete Beethoven Cello Sonatas with Emanuel Ax in June 2021, after an absence of almost half a century, has received critical acclaim in various journals and is currently nominated for a Grammy Award. Yo-Yo Ma, who released a number of chamber music masterpieces with Isaac Stern in the 20th century, now unleashes an innovative world of Beethoven with new allies in the 21st century. (C)RS
