A tender promise between her and me in an imperfect world. Animation director Makoto Shinkai's origin story is revived in a new form. The story depicts the daily life of a junior college student who is busy job hunting, and the feelings of a black cat that she keeps for her in her daily life. One of the highlights of this film is the up-and-coming staff that has been assembled to take on the challenge of adapting Makoto Shinkai's short films, which can be said to be his starting point, into an animated TV series. The director is the talented Kazuya Sakamoto, who has directed many hit films. Together with the staff of "Leiden Film Kyoto Studio," newly established by Leiden Film, the film depicts a new world of "She and Her Cat. The film is written by Shigeki Nagakawa, who worked on the novel version of "Her and Her Cat," and the character design and chief animation director is Senbon Kaijima, who worked on the OVA "Comet Gargantia" as chief animation director. The cast features Kana Hanazawa, who has worked in numerous anime productions and also starred in Makoto Shinkai's "Garden of Words" as the main character in this film.The role of Boku, the black cat who narrates the story, is played by Shintaro Asanuma, a talented actor who is active in many fields, including stage writing and directing, in addition to voice acting.
