Description:
Van Morrison's Skiffle Revisited!Born in the United States in the first half of the 20th century, skiffle is a genre of music influenced by jazz, blues, folk, roots music, and country music, which boomed in the UK in the 1950s and is considered the origin of UK rock. Van Morrison has loved this genre since childhood, and when he was still a student before his debut, he listened to Lonnie Donegan's "Rock Island Line" and intuitively understood the music within himself, playing in a skiffle band with a few guitars, a washboard, and a tee-chest bass. This is Van Morrison's interpretation of the skiffle that shaped the dawn of the pre-Beatles British scene. A work that once again expresses his love for this genre! Guests: Dave Keary (g), Pete Hurley (b), Colin Griffin (ds), Sticky Wicket (washboard), and others. Seth Lakeman, currently a Brit-folk favorite, also plays fiddle on five tracks. Sky blue colored vinyl!
