Description:
The "Brahms Project," in which they are working on a new angle on Brahms, the quintessential German Romanticism, has been in full swing since December 2014 with a performance of the complete works at Tokyo Opera City, and has been realized in a series of ticle performances in Europe and the United States. In parallel, the third and latest disc in the four-disc series of four symphonies, two serenades, and major orchestral works includes two major symphonies from his later years. The third disc in the four-disc series features two of the great symphonies of his later years: the Fourth Symphony, which Järvi first performed with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie and with which they hit it off, and the Third Symphony, a difficult piece that even Karajan had trouble with. Recorded at the historic Kurhaus in Wiesbaden. ●Visiting Japan ●Recording years: December 19-22, 2016; December 18-21, 2017
