Description:

Six years after "Minimalism" with the London Symphony Orchestra, this is a collection of chamber music works with a more solid and contemporary sound. It includes "String Quartet No. 1 (2014)" inspired by Escher's trompe l'oeil paintings, "Shaking Anxiety and Dreamy Globe" for two marimbas, "Single Track Music 1" composed entirely of single notes, and "Prayer" written for this postwar Prayer Songs for Piano" written for Japan's 70th anniversary.
