Takashi Asahina (conductor) / Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra
Description:
Ten years after his death (as of 2014), Takashi Asahina (conductor) recorded "No. 3" from his Bruckner symphonies, which he called "divine workmanship" and which he rarely had a chance to perform. This is the last performance of Bruckner's "No. 3," and the only two performances of the "Third Draft Revised Version" that were recorded on December 1996, when he conducted the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. This is the last performance of the piece, and is a record of the master's final interpretation, a truly monumental performance. (C)RS
