The Inspiral Carpets, who were known as one of the "Three Families" of the Manchester Movement along with The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays from the late 80's, released their second top 5 album "THE BEAST INSIDE" in the UK in 1991. The Inspiral Carpets, a rock band from Oldham, England, were known as one of the "Three Families" of the Manchester Movement, along with The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, from the late 1980s. Their groovy dance-rock sound, which makes full use of the Hammond organ, is a distinctive feature of their music. The band briefly disbanded in 1995, but reunited in 2003 and released a new album in 2014, their first in nearly 20 years, to the delight of longtime fans. In 2016, however, they went on hiatus following the death of original drummer Craig Gill. Their second studio album, THE BEAST INSIDE, was released in April 1991. Like their previous album, THE BEAST INSIDE was released by Cow Records through Mute Records and reached No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was a musical breakthrough for the band, spawning singles such as "Caravan," "Sleep Well Tonight," and "Please Be Cruel.THE BEAST INSIDE" will be reissued as analog LPs for the first time in 30 years since its original release. This limited edition purple vinyl 2LP set is a revival of a classic album that represents the Madchester movement of the early 90's. The album will be available on vinyl for the first time in over 30 years.
