Sedum (Korean stonecrop) is a succulent plant that thrives in arid conditions by hoarding moisture, making it a natural fit for a hydration-first toner pad. Abib's Sedum Hyaluron Pad combines 73% Sedum extract with a five-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complex, designed to layer hydration at multiple depths of the skin. Unlike exfoliant toner pads (Cosrx One Step, Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA), these pads are purely hydrating. No acids, no stinging, no barrier stress.
75 pads in a 165ml tub at $29 works out to roughly $0.39 per pad. These are dual-textured: one embossed side for light exfoliation by physical sweep, one smooth side for serum-application pressing. The hydration profile competes directly with Torriden Dive-In Pads and Medicube Collagen Pads, with more of a lightweight finish than either.
The Sedum extract base delivers a high concentration of plant-stored moisture. The five-weight hyaluronic acid complex penetrates at surface, middle, and deep skin layers, creating a layered hydration effect that a single-weight HA toner cannot match. The pad format forces slower application and better absorption than pouring liquid into palms. The embossed side also lightly sweeps away loose dead skin flakes without chemical exfoliation, leaving a smoother canvas.
After cleansing, use the embossed side to gently sweep across the face (inside to outside), removing loose flakes and prepping skin. Flip to the smooth side and press firmly for 10 to 15 seconds on areas that need extra hydration (cheeks, under-eyes, around the mouth). Leave any residual essence on the skin. Follow with serum and moisturizer. Use morning, evening, or both.
For a quick hydration mask: place 3 to 4 pads on drier zones and leave for 5 to 10 minutes before continuing your routine.
Both are hydration-first pads with no acids. Torriden uses low-molecular HA as the hero; Abib uses Sedum extract as the base plus HA complex. Torriden is slightly more concentrated in pure HA; Abib has more of a skincare-ritual feel with the Sedum plant extract. Both excellent. Pick based on whether you prefer single-active precision (Torriden) or plant-extract-forward (Abib).
Yes, if swept gently. The texture is soft and not abrasive. Do not scrub. If you have very reactive skin, use only the smooth side.
For hydration, yes. If you rely on targeted actives (niacinamide, retinol, acids) in your toner or essence, you still need those separately. These pads are hydration + gentle prep, not multi-active treatment.
One per use. A tub of 75 lasts about 2.5 months with once-daily use, or 5 weeks with twice-daily. Mask applications (3 to 4 pads) burn through supply faster.
Not if the tub is kept sealed. Abib's pads stay well-saturated through the end of the tub. Some users tip the tub upside down weekly to redistribute essence.
Pair with Abib Heartleaf Essence as a calming layer, or Abib Collagen Eye Crème for the eye step.
