The HRC8 Horizontal Windlass combines Maxwell’s innovative rope/chain management technology with an efficient, compact design. Created as a horizontal alternative to the popular RC8 series, the HRC8 brings reliability and ease of use to anchor handling. With an efficient 900 lb maximum pull, it is compatible with 5/16" chain and 9/16" nylon rope, ideal for small to medium-sized vessels. Featuring a "bolt down" installation, the HRC8 enables rapid on-deck setup while maximizing space below deck, thanks to its enclosed, watertight casing.

Designed for seamless rope-to-chain transitions, the HRC8’s unique pressure arm system guarantees smooth, jam-free anchor retrieval. With an integrated spur gearbox, dual-direction motor, and an emergency free-fall option, the HRC8 allows for controlled, secure anchor deployment. The advanced chainwheel, coupled with a marine-grade hard-anodized alloy case, ensures longevity even in harsh marine environments.
