Cyrano's powerful soundtrack, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, features lyrics and music by Bryce and Aaron Dessner of the Grammy Award-winning American rock band The National, with lyrics by Matt Berninger and composer Caryn Besser of the same band. The song "Somebody Desperate," which appears in the end credits of the film, is particularly special on this soundtrack, as The National wrote the lyrics and composed the music and performed it themselves. This soundtrack is the first new work for the Desnery brothers since Taylor Swift's hit album Folklore, which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for a work co-produced and co-written by Aaron Desner and orchestrated by Blythe.
