The Astronomik UHC is the ideal filter for visual observing.

With the Astronomik UHC filter, you will enjoy more stars and finer details in deep-sky objects compared to filters from other manufacturers. The UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter allows nearly 100% transmission of light from the O-III and H-beta lines. Though the H-alpha window is primarily for electronic devices, it still blocks scattered light and local artificial light pollution effectively, revealing rich detail in gas nebulae and planetary nebulae by darkening the sky background.

Main Use

The Astronomik UHC filter provides excellent views of deep-sky objects, even with smaller telescopes. It offers high transmission for visual observations starting at 2" (50mm) aperture and is optimized for telescope focal ratios between f/4 and f/15. Chromatic distortions and transmission losses typically seen in other filters are minimized, ensuring that you enjoy sharp, clear stars without reducing your telescope's optical performance.
