Native Canadian American blues singer Crystal Shawanda's latest release! Crystal Shawanda's vocals are so strong that they seem to explode with pent up energy, as she plays everything from heavy medium blues rock to slow blues and soft soul numbers. Produced by her longtime partner Dwayne Strobel on guitar, the album also features Jesse O'Brien on keyboards, Steve Marriner on harmonica, and a host of other Canadian talents. The album features originals, as well as covers by Buddy Guy, Howlin' Wolf, and others. Crystal Shawanda is a Native American born in Ontario, Canada in 1983. She has loved to listen to the blues since she was a child, but at the urging of her parents, she began singing country and recorded her first record at age 13 in Nashville; at 16, she quit school and moved to Nashville, but failed; in 2008, she moved back to Nashville and finally made her debut with "Dawn of a New Day" on RCA Records. The album reached the Billboard Top 20, and the song "You Can Let Go" was also a hit. He also toured North America with Brad Paisley and others, and won a Canadian music award.In 2012, she released her second album, "Just Like You," which was well received by the media and featured in a special program. Although it looked like smooth sailing, she never forgot her love of the blues and released her first blues piece, "The Whole World's Got the Blues," in 2014, followed by "Fish Out of Water" in 2016, which was nominated for a Juno Award. In recent years, he has continued to release consistently with "Voodoo Woman" in 2018 and "Church House Blues" in 2020.
