This stunning puzzle depicts the attack by the British and Dutch fleets against the Barbary Corsairs on the 27th August 1816. The bombardment lasted 1 hours and the losses on both sides were very high but it was a great success with over 165 enslaved prisoners liberated.
This work is by George Chambers, Senior and you can see the original at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich in Britain.
