Laavu bags are made of water-repellent, 3-layer spun fabric. They are compact lightweight sound bag with various compartments. Made for field recording the compact and lightweight bags are made of durable, robust and water-repellent material. The structure of the bag is cutomizable to personal needs. The body-hugging main compartment accommodates the recorder or mixer, the middle compartment can be customized with removable Velcro panels and is lined with soft Velcro. On the sides of the middle compartment are additional attachment pockets that can be closed with a Velcro flap. The front compartment can be closed with a zipper and houses 3 rubber pockets in which radio links, batteries and the like can be stowed.

At the front is a small compartment for the smallest equipment such as antennas and memory cards isolated from the next compartment. All compartments, including the side pockets, have openings and passages into the interior of the bag to all compartments for convenient wiring of the equipment inside. The main compartment is accessible from the sides through cable pockets and from the back through a rear flap. The equipment is hooked into a "nappy" in the main compartment, so with the matching nappy the bag can be used for different equipment. A plastic reinforcement on the side close to the body gives the bag stability and shape and is applied in such a way that there is no unnecessary weight. 4 D-rings on the back wall allow the use with carrying systems of other manufacturers. Furthermore, 2 cable ties are attached to each bag to attach accessories such as headphones or spiral cables.
