An aptly named watch from the Holthinrichs atelier of the Netherlands is this special edition watch exhibiting "Brutal Elegance". Here we have a 316L stainless steel case which was created by way of 3D printing. The case, bezel, lugs, caseback and buckle display a combination of rough and decidedly unfinished elements contrasted against smooth and highly polished surfaces that manage to complement each other perfectly. 

Similar to the case, the dial also carries somewhat of a raw finish which is contrasted by highly polished applied Breguet numerals. The stainless steel skeletonized hands are created in my favorite way, where one side is polished and the other side is brushed allowing for legibility in any lighting condition.

The reverse side reveals an ETA/Peseux 7001 hand wound caliber which exhibits beautiful hand finishing on the bevels. As a nod to Revolution, a star motif was added to the ratchet wheel. Additionally, the original owner requested to have the Dragon Chinese character on a bridge. The power reserve is approximately 45 hours and operates at 3 Hz.

The 316L stainless steel case measures 38mm x 9mm (including crystal) x 47.5mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Complete with Box and Papers dated January 25th, 2021, signed by Michiel Holthinrichs.
