A new interpretation of Kal IX, where the polychromy is built around a restrained palette of whites and reds. The ornamental motifs, carefully traced across the surface, form a symbolic language that runs over the face like a system of signs. The limited color range reinforces the presence of the form, turning the figure into a clear and direct image within the world of the Kal.

Sculpture carved in plaster, based on a cast from a fine grog refractory clay model, and reproduced in resin. Painted with shellac, chalk paint, acrylics, and varnish.
