For many skiers, Mammoth Mountain is the definitive destination on the West Coast. It gets a lot of snow, around 400 inches per year, and it’s got the terrain, lifts, and infrastructure to match. With 3,100 vertical feet of skiable terrain, there’s something for everyone at Mammoth, from tight chutes and steeps on the upper mountain, to sunny groomers and world-class terrain parks. This hill has it all. When James Niehues painted the Mammoth ski map in 2008 he captured every one of those runs in exacting detail, along with surrounding peaks, including the iconic Minaret Vista. These jagged peaks help define the skyline in the Mammoth Lakes region.
