The Tiagra 10-speed chain CN-4601 by Shimano - optimised technology for precise shifting
The Shimano Tiagra 10-speed chain CN-4601 has optimised inner and outer plates which provide a larger contact area to the teeth and a more efficient power transmission for better shifting even under load (HG technology). The outer plates prevent chain-suck from jamming the chain on the chainrings, while the inner plates guarantee smooth shifting on the rear derailleur. The CN-4601 chain has a directional connection, which must be observed during installation.

Directional
This chain has an asymmetrical design. The specially formed plates optimise the engagement on the sprocket and result in even smoother shifts, even under load. The inner side is optimised for rear HG (Hyperglide) shifting and ensures fast and smooth shifting. The outer side is optimised for chain ring switches. The sides are marked to ensure a correct mounting. The marked side is the outer side.
