Binghamton's Crickets took the field in 1887 as part of the International Association, representing a small New York city punching above its weight in organized baseball. That era saw dozens of clubs rise and fold across the Northeast. Most are forgotten, but the ones that carried a town's pride deserve to be remembered. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched green block text reads "BINGHAMTON, NY" above a large baseball bearing a star and curved text reading "INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION BASEBALL CLUB." A cartoon green cricket in a batting stance grips a bat beside the ball, with flowing green cursive script reading "Crickets" below. Green stencil-style text reads "1887" at the bottom.
