When viewing the anthracite dial you can take note of two mentions unique to Sinn. First, DIAPAL above the date aperture speaks to their lubricant-free escapement technology using special material combinations to eliminate friction and ensure long-term accuracy. Next is the circular 'Ar' badge denoting Sinn's dehumidifying technology. This technology features a copper sulfate drying capsule, EDR seals, and argon gas filling allowing the movement to operate in a near-dry environment. The end result allows this watch to perform in extreme conditions ranging from -45°C to +80°C. An indicator for the relative life of the drying technology exists in a window on the 7 o'clock lug. The reverse side reveals the Valjoux 7750 UTC automatic winding caliber operating at 4 Hz.
