Distilled in October 1996 and bottled in August 2006 , specially selected by distillery manager Jack McGarry , this release is very difficult to find worldwide and is known as one of the most characterful young Springbanks ever made.

These Wood Expressions releases are among Springbank's most iconic experimental bottlings: powerful cask strengths, unique wood influences and pure old-school Campbeltown.

Flavor profile

Nose:
Red berries, strawberry, wood smoke, marzipan, saltiness and warm spices.

Taste:
Deep and oily. Port sweetness combined with salt, oak, light peat, cherry, apricot, and a hint of cocoa. Springbank at full strength.

Aftertaste:
Long, warm and smoky with intense red fruit and elegant mineral notes.
