Installation: Locate the speed sensor connector. Ducati: The speed sensor is mounted on the rear wheel. Follow the cable from the sensor until you find the 3-pole black speed sensor connector. The connector is usually accessed by removing the right-hand fairing and is located very close to the right-hand engine cover on most models. MV Agusta: The connector is located on the front sprocket cover. If you are unsure, check your bike's service manual or ask your dealer to locate the speed sensor connector. 1. Remove the speed sensor connector (you may need to use a small flathead screwdriver to pull the connector apart). Turn the rear wheels when the ignition is on. The speedometer should show 0. If it is on, turn off the ignition and proceed to the next step. Otherwise, if your speedometer registers a non-zero speed, you didn't remove the correct coupler and should take another look. 2. After separating the speed sensor connector, plug in both the male and female 3-pole GFYSHIP harness connector. Make sure the connector is firmly seated. 3. Locate the RPM/Timing Sensor (Pickup) connector. The sensor is mounted on the top or side of the crankcase. Follow the cable from the sensor until you find the 3-prong connector. This is the location of the connector on some popular models: Monster S2R, Multistrada: on the left side, above the horizontal cylinder, zipped to the frame. Monster S4RS: Behind the left side cover under the seat. ST3: On the right side of the engine, connected to the frame with a zip. If you are unsure, check your bike's service manual or ask your dealer to locate the RPM/Timing Sensor connector. 4. Disconnect the connector and pull the LARGER rubber boot from the plug, leaving the 3 wires exposed. 5. Thread the GFYSHIP Black/Green wire through the rubber boot from the back. Make sure the wires do not touch the exhaust pipe or cylinder block. 6. Use the included red wire tap connector to connect the GFYSHIP black/green wire to the wire in connector slot position 1. Instructions: Place the unstripped run wire (slot position 1) inside the run channel. Close the side cover until it latches. Trim the excess length and then fully insert the unstripped tap wire (black/green) and check its position. Insert the blade (U-contact) and press down with your fingers. Then use pliers to push down the U contact completely. Close the hinged top cover until secure. 7. Connect and secure the RPM/Timing Sensor connector with a zip tie. 8. Connect the GFYSHIP Red wire to the +12V power cord with switch. From the back of the Fusebox to the Red/Back wire.
