Mag pouches are essential. There is no such thing as "too much ammo". The fabric magazine pouches fit laterally on the straps of the chest rig, or vertically on the belt. Mag pouches for single stack magazines, such as the 1911, are usually done as a one-piece unit. Dual magazine pouches, from the thickness, are done often as two connected units that can be added to increase capacity. The triple or quad mag can be made with belt loops spaced inside for stability. Loops are available in 1.5, 1.75, or 2".
