Turbo stenogyrus

This is a 3-cm-sized mollusk.

They do not have spines like commonly seen turban shells, and the surface of the shell is covered with stripes.

This individual is green in coloration, but this coloration depends on what it eats and its environment.

They are sometimes called “iro-sazae” in Japan because they can change to various colors, such as reddish brown, yellowish brown, and orange.

Please try to observe them while imagining what they ate and what kind of environment they were in.
