A fantastical animal-inspired sculpture in which the rigid sculptural quality of resin is combined with flexible fabric additions that bring texture and fragility to the piece. The reddish and black tones intensify the expressiveness of the face, while the metallic beak and large dark eyes reinforce its hybrid nature, somewhere between ritual creature and imagined figure. The combination of materials creates a physical contrast that allows the piece to shift between solid object and organic presence.

Sculpture modeled in fine grog refractory clay and casted in resin with fabric. Painted with shellac, chalk paint, acrylics, ferric paint, and varnish.
