Traditional chestnut brown silks with black tipping. Magenta, gold and black tipping at the winding check, male ferrules, and tip tops. Blued guides, ferrules, and winding check. Mildly swelled butt. Bronzed hook keeper. Reverse half wells grip, up locking hardware over Spanish cedar spacer.

For sale here is a Payne Model 205 - 8'6" 3/2 for a 5-6 weight line. The rod is in excellent plus restored condition. All sections are full length and straight. Traditional chestnut brown silks with black tipping. Magenta, gold and black tipping at the winding check, male ferrules, and tip-tops. Blued guides, ferrules, and winding check. Mildly swelled butt. Bronzed hook-keeper. Reverse half wells grip, up-locking hardware over Spanish cedar spacer. “Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch" stamped on the butt cap. The grip does display some ridging. The rod weighs 5 1/8 oz. The ferrule fit is good. Just a fabulous casting rod for medium to big water. On the medium side of medium-fast action. Deftly refinished by an unknown but competent practitioner. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings and replacement Payne label.
