Horology By The Sea is proud to present an exquisite example of the Subskription 3 series from Benzinger of Germany. For this project, Jochen Benzinger, a world renowned watchmaker and craftsman chose a lovely barley corn pattern of guilloché that emanates from the blued steel Breguet hands positioned off-center.

Offering a lovely contrast to the rose gold chapter with Roman Numerals of the hours and minutes is the silver ring for the small seconds with soleil pattern guilloché. The hand turned 18 karat white gold bezel is the chef's kiss to this extraordinary timepiece.

The reverse side reveals more of Mr. Benzinger's renowned craft. Underneath the hand engraved and skeletonized bridges lie guilloché blued plates with soleil pattern to match the seconds subdial. My favorite aspect of the movement is the blued and skeletonized crown and ratchet wheels fastened by purpled screws. The movement operates at a pleasing 2.5Hz and carries a power reserve of 46 hours.

The stainless steel case measures 42mm x 11.5mm x 51mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an unworn Molequin Grained Calfskin strap with pin buckle. Complete with Box and handwritten and signed letter by Mr. Benzinger dated December 2020.
