SEUVAS
A clothing brand founded in 2017 in Kurashiki, Okayama. The name “SEUVAS” is a coined word combining “SEWING” and “CANVAS,” representing a philosophy that merges two traditions: advanced sewing techniques capable of withstanding demanding conditions, and Kurashiki canvas with over 130 years of history. The result is a line of “free garments” born from heritage and innovation.
The balance of 8oz canvas
The fabric uses 8oz canvas produced in Kurashiki—substantial in structure, yet easy to wear from the very first use.
Beyond the inherent durability of canvas, the material is dyed using naturally derived ingredients, resulting in rich, nuanced tones. With wear, the texture deepens, gradually developing a character unique to the wearer.
A stand collar and deep slits, with purpose
The compact wing-style stand collar immediately draws the eye—somewhere between a shirt and a light outer layer, carrying a quiet sense of structure.
The top button features an Amakusa button, a detail that reflects the brand’s distinctly Japanese sensibility, down to the smallest elements.
A chest pocket on the left and side pockets on both sides ensure practical functionality.

Deep slits are placed on both sides, secured with ties. This detail, reminiscent of traditional Japanese garments, introduces a subtle yet distinctive character.
Cropped for ease and a clean silhouette
The silhouette follows a regular coverall fit, offering a comfortable amount of room through the body while keeping the length compact. The clean, straight fall of the fabric avoids any heaviness in appearance.
Wear it on its own like a shirt, or layer it as a light outer piece. Balanced between workwear and traditional influences, this jacket finds its appeal in that refined in-between.
