Rioja is in general a super exciting region. More smaller Bodega's, more single vineyards, more emphasis on the traditional varieties and so many more styles with regionality another big thing. The number of superb white Rioja's i have tasted this year is numerous! From crisp unoaked styles to richer unoaked, youthful to more mature- this case has them all. Great food wines too, they are a great match to Spanish rice dishes, but actually the weightier styles are great tapas wines going with almost everything.
