For sale here is a very scarce and early Gary Howells 7 foot bamboo rod for a three weight line in near mint condition. 2 1/4 oz. One of approximately eleven 7' 3wt rods ever made by Gary, per Craig Lynch. Made in Gary's second year of production for the Anglers' All shop in Denver, who then personalized the rod for the buyer (and the current consignor of the rod to us). Medium slow action. All cork reel seat, half wells grip, original bag and labeled tube. The rod does not appear to have been fished much, if at all! The personalization done by for the original owner can be removed by a competent rod maker / restorer since it was inked over the original varnish. Don't let this one get away!
