"Awakening" is rich with floral patterns and complexity of color and form. This photograph of resveratrol crystals was taken through the microscope after first growing the crystals on a glass microscope slide. Resveratrol is found naturally in wine and is an antioxidant believed to have considerable health benefits. These crystals were grown in the presence of Page Springs Cellars 2015 Vino de la Familia wine. The crystal facets create the colors naturally by refraction of the transmitted light through their prism-like facets.
