The updated motor mounts on the Riptide SE motors feature an extruded upper arm made from marine-grade anodized aluminum that is built for years of trouble-free use.

All Riptide SE motors are constructed to withstand the harsh environment of saltwater and the anodized aluminum upper arm is no exception. The motors also feature fully encapsulated electronics and a patented sacrificial zinc anode for added corrosion protection. Riptide SE motors also include Digital Maximizer technology that provides up to five times longer run time on a single charge.

Riptide SE motors also utilize a Latch & Door mounting system for easy removal of the motor for security and storage. Adding to its ruggedness, The =Riptide SE has a composite shaft that is guaranteed for life

Riptide SE's ultra-strong, lightweight mount features a smaller footprint and tempered, marine-grade extruded aluminum construction. It stows securely in rough water with its positive rear stow latch; while a Latch & Door Design makes removing your motor easy.

Metals undergo a rigid multi-step cleaning process before being anodized or coated with a special zinc dichromate armor plating. All components are then finished with a durable 5-mil TGIC polyester, powder coat paint. When it's all done, you're left with unequaled corrosion protection.

Full Encapsulated Electronics

Marine-grade urethane fully encapsulates Riptide control boards to protect the electronic circuitry. Also, all electrical connections are sealed with liquid-tight heat shrink tubing to form an impregnable barrier against saltwater.

Sacrificial Anode

Galvanic corrosion occurs when two dissimilar metals come into electrical contact through saltwater. Riptide fights back with a patented sacrificial zinc anode, a composite shaft and properly balanced materials that are close in electrical potential. The result is a motor that's completely protected from saltwater's destructive forces.
