Application

1. Wait 60–90 days for new pavers to cure before applying EF.
2. Prepare the surface: sweep thoroughly to remove joint sand, dust, debris, and loose material. Spot-clean stubborn stains first with the appropriate SRW Specialty Clean product (CDX, RE, M3C, or OC).
3. Saturate the surface and surrounding area — including all vegetation — with clean water. The project must remain wet throughout the cleaning process.
4. Dilute (optional): for light haze, mix EF 1:1 with water in a watering can. For heavier deposits, use full strength.
5. Apply to the wet surface in 200 sq ft sections.
6. Scrub immediately with a stiff bristle brush. Apply additional water as needed to keep the area saturated. Two-person application is recommended.
7. On inclines, start at the highest point. Scrub from the bottom of each section, pushing excess EF up and over the work above.
8. Rinse immediately with clean water until all foam disappears. Re-rinse adjacent vegetation and surrounding surfaces.
9. Repeat if necessary. Let the surface dry completely.
10. Wait 24 hours minimum before applying an SRW Paver Seal product.

What Not to Use It On

• Sealed surfaces — strip the sealer first with SS Sealer Stripper
• Wetcast or natural stones (limestone, travertine, marble) — acid-sensitive substrates
• New pavers (less than 60–90 days cured)

Safety

Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when applying. Avoid prolonged contact with metal — can etch finishes over time. Saturate vegetation before AND after application to dilute any runoff. Keep from freezing — freezing damages the formulation and may rupture containers.
