A small batch Wakocha (Japanese Black Tea) from Miyazaki prefecture, made by Takuya Yokoyama at Issin-En. Izumi's assamica heritage makes it one of the cultivars most naturally suited to black tea production — and this particular batch was selected from over 20 samples for its exceptional brightness. Floral and fruity with citrus and stone fruit, a hint of muscatel, and mineral depth on the finish. The light body and clean mouthfeel bridge Japanese tea sensibility with the complexity of a fine oolong.
