The Regiment's Story

First formed in 1916, the 11th Field Artillery Regiment has served the United States Army across generations of conflict. In Vietnam, four battalions of the regiment deployed — including the 2nd Battalion alongside the legendary 101st Airborne Division. Among those who served: Robert Kalsu, one of only two NFL players killed in the Vietnam War, a testament to the sacrifice carried by every soldier in this regiment.
