A succession of six publications have held the title The London Magazine dating back to 1732, making it England's oldest literary periodical. Originally founded to rival the Gentleman's Magazine (arguably the first magazine), its pages have boasted the likes of Keats, Shelley, T.S. Elliot et al along the way.
Inside this June/July 2026 issue: poetry by The London Magazine Poetry Prize 2026 winners Nina Reljić, Henry Woodland and Natalie Perman, as well as Tristram Fane Saunders, Nick Laird, Imogen Cassels, Campbell McGrath, Brett Shaw, Mary Anne Clark, Milena Williamson and Haig Lucas. Short fiction by Son Bo-Mi, Lawrence Osborne and Tim MacGabhann. Plus The London Magazine’s 2026 Survey of Poets.
