An antique plumber’s turnpin.

Made from the hardest wood known to mankind; Lignum vitae, these conical shaped tools were used to widen the end of copper piping so that they could slot into each other. Consequently, they have the most delightful patina, weigh a tonne and for our purposes, resemble divine little Christmas trees.
