Book Context
Dune is considered by many to be the defining book of the science fiction genre.  The first book in this epic series follows Paul Atreides as he and his family become stewards of desert planet Arrakis, the only planet in the known universe to produce the the drug "Melange", or spice, which gives foresight and multidimensional awareness in the user.

Notes on Texture
The base of this slime is a endlessly sizzly blend of snowfizz and sand, with no sand fallout.  The melange topper is a coated clear packed with blue glitters to represent the blue eyes that spice gives it's users.

Note: The blue topper shown here as been reformulated to have no blue colorant so mixing the slimes keeps the sandy Dune color.

Notes on Scent
Several times throughout the book, melange is described as smelling and tasting like cinnamon.  To give it an other worldly feel, I blended the cinnamon with clove and fossilized amber.
